ArchPoint Partners, an independent investment banking firm providing financial advisory services to growth companies in the technology and media sectors, today announced that Managing Director Rob Louv will be speaking on a panel discussion at the Intel Capital Global Summit to be held October 1-3 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa in Huntington Beach, California.
Mr. Louv will be providing perspective during a panel discussion entitled “M&A: The Preferred Exit Strategy?” which will explore current topics in the mergers and acquisitions environment. Questions to be discussed include: What is causing the trend towards fewer IPO's? What regulatory and macroeconomic trends are affecting the seeming preference for consolidation rather than creation of a new publicly traded company? How has the Facebook IPO changed the expectations of entrepreneurs and investors? In what circumstances should acquisition be entertained rather than IPO?
Rob Louv has an extensive background in technology investment banking with over 150 M&A and private placement transactions announced, representing nearly $175 billion in aggregate consideration. Rob advises companies in a broad range of software and internet domains, including technology enabled services, software-as-a-service delivery, collaboration services, data services, cloud computing, vertical application solutions, human capital management, enterprise software, supply chain, mobility, business intelligence/analytics, infrastructure software, and financial technology.
Since beginning his investment banking career in 1997, Mr. Louv has provided strategic counsel on acquisitions, sales and divestitures, restructuring, recapitalizations, leverage/management buyouts, minority buyouts, special committee assignments, hostile defense and placement of equity, debt and convertible securities.
